Zafra is a small Spanish town of just over 15,000 residents. It retains a certain charm while still feeling lively and active. The Parador, as you probably know, is a former 15th century castle. The rooms, however, are decidedly 21st century. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Our room did not have the most scenic view (interior courtyard), but it provided light, fresh air, and quiet. We stayed one night in a standard double room using the 5-Night Card for €90/night. Parking was easy, though we are not the best at driving in Spain, we passed the entrance to the parking lot three times before getting it right. Parking cost €4/day in the lot directly in front of the Parador. In Google Earth/Maps enter 6 25' 00"W, 38 25' 27"N to see the Parador location.
